Why We Built This
Gujarat has India's longest coastline, yet it remains one of the least-documented coastal regions for travelers. Most Gujarat travel guides focus on the Rann of Kutch, Gir National Park, or Ahmedabad β leaving the coast as an afterthought. We wanted to change that.
The Gujarat Coastal Guide is a volunteer-maintained travel resource dedicated to Gujarat's 1,600 km coastline. We cover ferry services, coastal destinations, port cities, marine geography, and practical travel information β all in one place.
What We Cover
- Ferry services β especially the GhoghaβHazira Ro-Ro ferry, which has transformed coastal travel in the state
- Coastal destinations β from Dwarka to Diu, Mandvi to Tithal
- Maritime geography β the Gulf of Khambhat, tidal patterns, port history
- Practical travel tips β booking information, seasonal advice, local contacts
Our Principles
- Accuracy: We verify information against official sources and update our guides regularly
- No sponsored content: We don't accept payment for recommendations. If we link to something, it's because we genuinely think it's useful
- Open and free: This site is hosted on Neocities and will always be free to access

This guide is a labor of love, not a commercial venture. We're just a small group of people who love Gujarat's coast and want to make it easier for others to explore it.
